Solution: Off-grid solar setup with battery system for disability-modified home

Leanne approached Excel Power with concerns about what would happen if her on-grid system were to lose power, a connection that her disabled son relies on.
While her Glenvale home usually has reliable access to the grid, the potential risk that losing power for a number of hours could cause was enough of a reason for Leanne to contact Excel.
Curious about a hybrid system, she wanted to explore how Excel could ensure that her home always had a reliable access to power in order to protect the health and safety of her family.
Our friendly team talked Leanne through her options and the benefits. After visiting her property, we were able to determine the right sized solution for her family and energy usage.
Solution:
Leanne and the Excel team found that the best solution would be a 3.9kW Single Phase PV solar system with 3.49kW Enphase microinverters, including:
- 10 x Enphase IQ 7A Microinverters (15 Year Product Warranty, upgradeable to 25 years)
- 1 x Enphase Envoy
- 10 x Hyundai UF 390W Solar Panels (25 Year Product Warranty)
- 1 x Tesla Powerwall 13.5kW with backup capabilities

Our certified team had the system up and running within 2 days.
The system came with expandable capabilities and Leanne received training on how to use and keep track of the power usage through both Tesla and Enphase monitoring systems, as well as information packs for further education.
Outcome:
Leanne was ecstatic with the results of her hybrid system. She can now be confident that even if the power goes out in her suburb, she will have reliable and consistent power. While cost savings was not her main priority, she has been greatly impressed with how her new solar system has lowered her energy bills and will continue to do so in the future.
